2024 Conference Registration

We are excited to welcome you all to the sunshine state for the Association for International Agricultural and Extension Education (AIAEE) conference. The University of Florida will be hosting in Orlando, Florida from April 22-25, 2024. It will be a wonderful week filled with fellowship, scholarship, and celebration of 40 years of AIAEE.

For more information or questions related to the conference logistics, please contact Sarah Bush at sab5271@ufl.edu. Please refer to the call for proposals on contacts for abstracts and professional development sessions.

Important Registration Updates:

  • Due to the high registration for the 2024 AIAEE Conference, the last day to register for the conference will be March 22. We will not accept any registrations after this date.
  • Tours are also full (as noted below). We will compile a list of list of activities you could do on Thursday, related to local agriculture.
  • We have to cap our total number of attendees to the awards dinner as our venue only has so much space. We will provide tickets to the awards dinner that will be distributed based on registration date. Those who have already registered and indicated that they will be attending the awards dinner have secured a spot. If you indicated you are attending the awards dinner and your plans have changed, please email Sarah Bush (sab5271@ufl.edu), so she can continue handing out tickets based on availability.

Registering for Tours
As a part of your registration, you will be asked to sign up for a tour. Please review the options below so you can make your selection. Tours are offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Note: Tours 1 and 2 are now full.

Tour 1

Urban Agriculture

This tour is now full.

The Orlando area offers a unique and refreshing opportunity to see agricultural production at its best. You will see a small scale, organic farm, producing high quality produce for the local community in an environmentally sustainable fashion.

Next stop will be a traditional farm located on the fringe of urban sprawl that also engages in many agritourism events and we will enjoy lunch in their café. They also have a country store with locally produced items.

Next, we will visit a hydroponics production located inside the Orange County Convention Center. The produce is sold and used by the chef at the convention center. It doesn’t get any fresher than that!

Tour 2

Florida Agriculture and Community Food Systems

This tour is now full.

Florida boasts a wide variety of agricultural products that span much further than the well-known citrus industry. This tour will provide a glimpse into this diversity of crops and products while also providing insight into nonformal community-based agricultural education.

A few highlights will include a community engagement effort in local food systems, a neighborhood market with some of Central Florida’s top food entrepreneurs, and floriculture.

This tour will be marked by highlighting the diversity and economic value of Florida’s agriculture and community food systems.
